People sometimes laugh at children who paint with their hands, but New York-based artist Iris Scott proves that you can create captivating paintings without using a single brush. She adopted this technique in 2010 in Taiwan when Scott decided not to clean her brush, because that would have paused her work. She was deeply immersed in the process and started spontaneously applying paint with her fingertips. Eventually, this evolved into a unique style which can be described as impressionistic smearing.
